On Friday, 17 November 2017, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 37), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and a Nissan X-Trail. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mazda (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
