On Wednesday, 29 November 2017, in the evening at 20:37, in Vilnius, on Viršuliškių street near No. 59, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus C-MAX, a Volkswagen Touran, a Volkswagen Passat, an Opel Omega-B, a Mercedes-Benz B180, a Volvo XC90, a Toyota Yaris and a Toyota Yaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Ford (17 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.73‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet.
