On Sunday, 28 January 2018, at night at around 1:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 WW. Audi S6 and a Volkswagen. Three people were injured — the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized), a 41-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized) and a 41-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
