On Saturday, 27 January 2018, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 20), a Jeep Cherokee rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Jeep, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (0.75‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
