On Sunday, 4 February 2018, at night at 23:38, in Klaipėda, on Liepų street near No. 85, a BMW 535 D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.33‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
