On Monday, 5 February 2018, in the evening at 22:40, in Kaunas, on M. ir P. Šalčių street, at the junction with E. Volterio street, an Audi ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
