On Saturday, 17 February 2018, in the evening at 17:20, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 21.26), a Volkswagen Sharan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
