On Saturday, 24 February 2018, in the afternoon at 11:31, in Anykščių district municipality, Pelyšėlių I village, on the Troškūnai–Sudergis–Subačius regional road (kilometre 14), a Mitsubishi L 200 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (36 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. The Mitsubishi had recorded faults (padangų). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
