On Thursday, 8 March 2018, in the afternoon at 13:46, in Kazlų Rūdos municipality, on the Privažiuojamasis kelias prie Jūrės regional road (kilometre 1.95), a Mitsubishi L 200 ran off the road. Three people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient), a 22-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 24-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
