On Sunday, 11 March 2018, in the morning at around 8:00, in Molėtų district municipality, Stacijavos village, on the Molėtai–Stacijava–Smėlinka regional road (kilometre 1.82), a Mercedes-Benz Vito 115 CDI hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
