On Friday, 16 March 2018, in the evening at around 22:00, in Akmenės district municipality, on Respublikos street near No. 19, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6, an Audi A6 Avant and an Opel Antara. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober.
