On Friday, 16 March 2018, in the evening at 19:07, in Utenos district municipality, Kuktiškių town, on Tauragnų street near No. 11, a BMW 525 TDS hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.07‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
