On Saturday, 24 March 2018, at night at 1:09, in Kaunas, on R. Kalantos street near No. 27, an Opel Astra hit an obstacle. Three people were injured — a 15-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient), a 19-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient) and a 17-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
