On Monday, 9 April 2018, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Bazilionų town, on Vytauto street near No. 23, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a moped and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of a moped (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He refused a sobriety test. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
