On Wednesday, 25 April 2018, in the afternoon at 16:33, in Kelmės district municipality, Butkiškės village, on Šviesos street, a Renault Safrane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.96‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
