On Wednesday, 2 May 2018, in the evening at 18:59, in Biržų district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Malūno street, a Volvo V50 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.41‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
