On Friday, 11 May 2018, in the evening at 18:40, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Audi (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.70‰ blood alcohol).
