On Wednesday, 23 May 2018, in the afternoon at 12:50, in Prienų district municipality, on Eglių street, at the junction with Miško street, a light quad bike hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 8-year-old driver of a light quad bike (hospitalized) and a 8-year-old passenger of a light quad bike (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 8-year-old driver of a light quad bike, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
