On Friday, 1 June 2018, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 87.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH registered in Russia, a Schmitz Cargobull and a Volvo FM7. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo FH (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
