On Tuesday, 5 June 2018, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street near No. 98, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Espace and a Skoda 14 TR. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
