On Sunday, 17 June 2018, in the evening at 17:20, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 12.20), a Land Rover hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Land Rover (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.03‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
