On Saturday, 23 June 2018, in the evening at 22:41, in Rokiškio district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street near No. 39, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Honda. One person was injured — the 32-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
