On Sunday, 24 June 2018, in the evening at 22:09, in Švenčionių district municipality, Kochanovkos village, on the Švenčionys–Mielagėnai–Andriejauka regional road (kilometre 2.20), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Hyundai Getz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
