On Monday, 2 July 2018, in the evening at around 22:00, in Varėnos district municipality, Puodžių village, on Ežero street near No. 20, an Audi 80 rolled over. One person was injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
