On Saturday, 7 July 2018, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Kazlų Rūdos municipality, on M. Valančiaus street near No. 19, at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Almera and a Seat Leon. One person was injured — a 53-year-old passenger of the Seat (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Nissan (17 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
