On Saturday, 7 July 2018, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 12.62), a Skoda Octavia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Skoda (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
