On Sunday, 8 July 2018, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Tūjainių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 213.45), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 750 and a BMW 530 XD. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW 750 (7 years of driving experience), who violated traffic rules on motorways. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
