On Wednesday, 11 July 2018, in the evening at around 21:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Toledo and a Mini. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Seat, who violated overtaking rules. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
