On Sunday, 22 July 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, Kurmaičių village, on Putinų 1-oji street near No. 11, an Audi A8 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence.
