On Friday, 27 July 2018, in the evening at 17:50, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 20.85), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Mazda 6. Two people were injured — the 36-year-old driver of the Mazda (treated as an outpatient) and a 25-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Audi (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
