On Sunday, 22 July 2018, at night at 2:30, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 21), a Piaggio hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Piaggio, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (0.87‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
