On Friday, 3 August 2018, in the morning at around 8:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žemaitės street near No. 16, a Citroen C2 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 19-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Citroen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
