On Wednesday, 8 August 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Bardžių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 210), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF XF 95.430 registered in Ukraine, a Prod-Rent registered in Ukraine and a Volkswagen Touran registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
