On Tuesday, 14 August 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
