On Monday, 20 August 2018, in the evening at 17:42, in Anykščių district municipality, Pavirinčių village, on the Anykščiai–Kurkliai–Balninkai–Želva regional road (kilometre 11), a Mitsubishi Carisma rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (19 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (3.02‰ blood alcohol). A 54-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi was drunk (3.15‰). A 41-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
