On Saturday, 1 September 2018, in the morning at 9:31, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Reivyčiai–Leckava regional road (kilometre 1.27), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. A 36-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.05‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
