On Monday, 3 September 2018, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 3.51), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 8D, Audi A4, -S4 and a Yamaha. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Audi (32 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
