On Tuesday, 4 September 2018, in the evening at 17:30, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 34.80), a Jaguar XF ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Jaguar (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
