On Friday, 7 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 151, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FL611 and a Citroen C5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
