On Sunday, 9 September 2018, in the afternoon at 16:22, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Šilalė–Šilutė national road (kilometre 34.70), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S40 and a Ford Fusion. No one was hurt in the accident.
