On Saturday, 29 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno district municipality, on Kelias K-130 street, at the junction with Nusukimas į Linksmakalnį street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Nissan X-Trail. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Ford (42 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.43‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was contaminated.
