On Sunday, 30 September 2018, at night at around 1:00, in Varėnos district municipality, Matuizų village, on Kalno street near No. 25, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
