On Friday, 5 October 2018, in the evening at 17:15, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 103.55), a bicycle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 63-year-old cyclist, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.78‰ blood alcohol).
