On Wednesday, 10 October 2018, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Kvėdarnos town, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 98.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Signum and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Opel (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
