On Wednesday, 3 October 2018, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Mažeikių district municipality, Grūstės village, on Slėnio street near No. 67, a Lipecko TG (LTZ) T-40 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Lipecko TG (LTZ), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.82‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
