On Sunday, 21 October 2018, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Bačkonių street near No. 10, a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
