On Tuesday, 30 October 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 3.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a BMW 330D and a Ford Mondeo. Two people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the BMW 330D (treated as an outpatient) and the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the BMW (28 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
