On Friday, 16 November 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 92.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Jaguar XF, an Opel Astra and a VAZ 2115 registered in Ukraine. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
