On Sunday, 18 November 2018, at night at around 2:00, in Kaunas, on Chemijos g. near No. 27c, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 730, a Ford Scorpio and a Ford Mondeo registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
