On Sunday, 25 November 2018, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Šakių district municipality, Papiškių village, on Papiškių street near No. 5, a Lipecko TG (LTZ) T-40AM hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Lipecko TG (LTZ), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.97‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
